Sometimes when one who is brought up as a Christian, they stop searching for the truth… When the truth is in front of you, you may not even realise it. This brought me to the Gospels, where the Jews thought they knew the truth and the way. They were so unwilling to see that the Living God is actually right in front of their eyes. And this situation is obviously happening in our times now. When someone is approached by a Seventh-day Adventist, they have the presumption that their beliefs are just different… But what if we hold the truth to Jesus, we should be discovering the truth in everyday of our lives. If we are approached by someone, we should be able to know whether is it the truth because we have been diligently studying the Bible and knowing God. I would not say I have perfect knowledge of God because everyone of us need to seek Him everyday. O’ God, I pray that the You will be with us, to show everyone of us  Your light and love.

Knowing the truth will lead you to true love. The unconditional love that is described in 1 Cor 13:4-13. Search for the truth and you will find the love you desire, and I pray that it will change your heart.

When I am typing this entry, I did not really have a good grasp of what I want to write. There are simply too many and I am afraid I will forget.

I guess, I shall write down the next topic that I should have an in-depth discussion about. “The Signs of the End”

dictionary: a day of religious observance and abstinence from work, kept by Jews from Friday evening to Saturday evening, and by most Christians on Sunday.

the dictionary actually cannot give an actual day when is Sabbath. is it important? yes, it is.

“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.” Exodus 20:8
This is the fourth commandment from God. Refer to Exodus 20:8-11

We are to acknowledge the importance of the Sabbath day even after Jesus came to die for us. We are to follow Jesus Christ. He kept the Sabbath. Sabbath is a sign between God and us. “Keep my Sabbaths holy, that they may be a sign between us. Then you will know that I am the LORD your God.” Ezekiel 20:20

God is our creator. He create us, sustain us, provide for us and love us. We are called to love Him. We have to know Him, know who He really is, how much He mean to us, and fall in love with Him, and love Him for eternity.

One of the most simple step to know God is read the bible and He will tell you who He is, and keeping the Sabbath is one of the things you will want to do for Him, the one you love.

God says to keep the Sabbath holy is important. If we truly love Him, we will acknowledge this fact too. When exactly is the Sabbath day? Jews have been God’s people for many generations. They have been always strict on keeping the Sabbath. The question is should Christians follow the Jews’ Sabbath or Christians’ choosing their own Sabbath day? This goes back to who is Jesus Christ? He is the Son of God. He kept the Jews’ Sabbath, or to be exact, Jesus kept the Sabbath His Father our God instructed Sabbath. That is from Friday evening to Saturday evening.

Are you convinced that Sabbath is from Friday evening to Saturday evening? Want more evidence? Look at the life of Jesus. How did our merciful Saviour died for us? He died on Friday evening to Saturday evening. Jesus resurrected on Sunday. We can also see this from the remembrance of Jesus’ death from Good Friday and His resurrection on Easter Sunday. This shows that Jesus Christ actually RESTED from Friday evening to Saturday evening.

Knowing so much about when exactly is Sabbath. Does keeping Sabbath really matters? Can I just choose one day of the week for observance and abstinence from work? No. Why no? God blessed and sanctified the the seventh day, the Sabbath day since the beginning of the heavens and earth. This is from the beginning. This is a sign that God is our creator, we need to submit our lives to Him because He create us out of love and we love Him.

nah. life is more than that. ‘Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.” Matthew 4:4 those things I have mentioned, logically and rationally, they do not make your life better, there is no significant beneficial in doing so. but why? why do many still choose to do them? peer influence? difficult to change?

this is one of the times we actually feel that we need God the most. to be truly changed. to really understand this is what God want us to be. He want the best out of us.

firstly, choosing not to consume unclean food- this is something God asked us to do, this will please Him, and it is for our own good too.
secondly, places that God would not want us to go, why do we still go? especially, there is more harm than benefits.
thirdly, drinking and smoking habits, i have seen so many people struggling to give them up. believe not in yourself to give up, but God will be with you. He will help you to give them up.

often, people take pleasures in what i have mentioned… and own pleasures is often more important than God’s satisfaction. however, think of it deeply, is the pleasures lasting? do you feel the voidness in your heart even after seeking these pleasures? some may say that i am only doing these once in a while. it is okay. the truth is it is not okay.
